The Clinical Safety Specialist will work alongside other members of the clinical safety team to manage the adoption of InterSystems Clinical Safety Management Framework, supporting the development and implementation of InterSystems products.
Location: Windsor/ Edinburgh, UK

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the clinical safety assurance service across InterSystems products
- Adapt and refine InterSystems Clinical Safety Management Framework and Plan for use
- Act as the escalation point for reported clinical safety issues
- Create Safety Reports as appropriate from issues reported by Customers, Implementation and Support staff
- Perform clinical safety assessments to investigate and assess clinical risk in good faith to support and improve patient safety
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team including regional edition, implementation, and support
- Deliver clinical safety training to internal and external groups
- Participate in the Clinical Safety Group activities
- Create and maintain Region, Project and clinical safety documentation
- Provide clinical safety/ risk assessment advice at customer sites
- Provide advice and bring experience to the customer and ISC team in terms of lessons learnt in the field particularly around clinical safety
- Must be prepared to undertake the role of Clinical Safety Officer (where applicable) or act as Clinical signatory on behalf of InterSystems as required
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Possesses a strong grasp of the clinical workflow in the full range of inpatient settings (including accident and emergency, maternity, and operating theatres) and outpatient settings
- Proven clinical stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and strong influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet demands
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; multi-lingual as required depending on location
- Demonstrable experience of involvement in Clinical Governance activities
- Implementation of successful clinical risk management activities
- EMR/HIS Experience as a user of health information technology and/or implementation experience preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering training materials and/or coaching desirable
- Clinical qualifications (Doctor, Senior Nurse, Pharmacist or Allied Health Professional)
- Professional registrations
- 5-10 years of clinical experience
- Experience in a secondary care setting
