We are looking for a proactive and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance testing, and general building maintenance to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

You'll carry out a range of planned maintenance and compliance activities, including:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Weekly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing
  • Emergency lighting testing
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
  • Fire door inspections
  • Ladder and step ladder inspections
  • Drainage and sump pump inspections
  • General building and plant room inspections
  • Minor maintenance and repair works
  • Recording maintenance activities and compliance checks
  • Reporting defects and supporting specialist contractors
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar maintenance role
  • Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality

Desirable:

  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) qualification or experience
  • Experience with fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting or fire door inspections
  • Basic plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance skills
