An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Shift Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company to work within our expanding Engineering Department. We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to lead a team of engineers working on a rotating shift pattern, providing primary engineering support across the site. This is a hands-on role involving fault finding, Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), installations, circuitry upgrades, breakdown support and machine changeovers as required.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring engineering works are completed safely and efficiently, keeping machine downtime to a minimum and supporting the achievements of operational targets.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
- Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship
- Experience of automated production environment
- Machine setting
- Previous Team leading experience
- Strong engineering background Electrically and Mechanically
- Strong Health and safety knowledge
- Strong relationship building qualities
- Understanding of working in a controlled environment
- Ability to manage downtime and priorities
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Ability to modify machine wiring
- Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
- Injection Molding
- Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices
- 18th Edition PLC knowledge
