An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company to work within our expanding Engineering Department.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Lead Production Support Engineer to lead a team of engineers, operating on a rotating shift pattern. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry, as well as providing mechanical support during breakdowns as required.
All work must be completed effectively, with machine downtime being kept to a minimum, and within target expectations whilst adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.
Essential Experience/Qualifications:
- Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualification
- Experience working in an automated production environment
- Machine setting experience
- Previous Team leading experience
- Strong engineering background Electrically and Mechanically
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Understanding of working in a controlled environment
- Ability to manage downtime and priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to modify machine wiring
- Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience of Injection Molding
- Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices
- 18thEdition

- From 1st May: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off (currently operating a 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 nights on, 2 nights off shift pattern)
- 7:00am 19:30pm and 19:00pm 7:30am
