An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Quality Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company to work within our expanding Design and Development Department. We are looking to recruit a Design Quality Engineer who will be responsible for the review of and input into engineering and technical documentation related to new products and products under change control due to continuous improvement and product evolution.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) related to the medical device industry, and the reviewing of technical engineering documentation. They will be able to review and understand from a quality perspective technical engineering drawings and documentation.
Essential Experience/Qualifications:
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in Sciences, Life Sciences or Engineering
- Experience within the medical device industry or a similarly heavily regulated industry such as pharma or nuclear
- Experience of, and a good basic knowledge of engineering documentation and drawings
- Experience of both quality management systems and complete engineering lifecycles and processes, along with an understanding of Medical Device Regulation (MDR) requirements, together with ISO 13485, FDA Design Control and 510k submissions would be beneficial
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge / understanding of plastic injection moulding
- Experience of working as a healthcare professional e.g. nurse, or paramedic, where you would have had exposure to medical devices similar to Intersurgical products as an end user
