Interstate Waste Services is hosting a hiring event for CDL B drivers and diesel mechanics.

Location: 89 Black Meadow Rd, Chester NY

When: Friday May 29 between 8 am - 4 pm

Safety is our first priority! Pay depends on position, location, and experience.

Schedule: Monday - Friday. 1 year experience is REQUIRED. Ability to drive a manual transmission is a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications for Mechanics:

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with dealership experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, power tools operation, welding, and fabrication techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, HVAC servicing, tire service, suspension work, and transmission repairs.
  • Additional skills in soldering, welding, alignment procedures, air brake systems, and shocks.
