We are recruiting an experienced Commercial Lead for a contract role on a major £140m water infrastructure capital delivery scheme for Southern Water, based in Southampton .
This is a senior commercial role leading a team of Quantity Surveyors on a high-profile pipeline project delivered under an NEC Option C (target cost) contract. You will work closely with the Project Director and report directly to the Board.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop the commercial team, including Managing, Senior and Assistant Quantity Surveyors
Manage the main contract proactively under NEC Option C (target cost)
Lead supplier procurement and proactive subcontract management
Produce and present monthly commercial reports to the Board of Directors
Validate cost to complete (CTC) forecasts
Produce accurate cost value reconciliations (CVR) for the joint venture partners
Close out historical final accounts with support from the Senior Quantity Surveyor
Work alongside the Project Director to drive commercial performance across the scheme
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Commercial Lead, Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects
Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, ideally Option C (target cost)
Experience in the water, utilities or civil engineering sector
Track record of CVR, CTC forecasting and final
