As part of their continued growth and a string of successful tenders a major construction contractor are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working on civil engineering projects. This is great opportunity to work on a heavy civils schemes offering a great deal of technical variety across earthworks, highways and a rail interface. The company turnover close to £1BN across three different business areas and work with some of largest land owners and developers in the UK. Despite their size they have managed to retain an inclusive, family oriented culture and as such have a above average level of staff retention. Excellent training and development programmes are on offer alongside the change to work on landmark projects. The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working as part of a team on civil engineering projects valued between £10M – £50M day to day responsibilities will include: Sub-Contract Management Reporting on Cost, Value and Change Managing Change effectively Attending Client Meetings Providing leadership and support to commercial and operational colleagues.
