An opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor has become available with a tier 1 civil engineering company working on a major project valued at Β£60M in Hampshire. This is a newly created position as a result of a significant, recently awarded tender. The role presents the Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join a world-class organisation with renowned training and career development programmes and the chance to develop a rewarding long-term career.
The Role
- Working as part of a commercial team reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
- Involved with every aspect of the commercial life cycle of schemes, including:
- Sub-contract monitoring and management
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Managing early warnings and change control
- Agreeing on final accounts with the supply chain
Experience Required
- Suitable applicants must be educated to HNC / BSc Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Demonstrate experience working at Quantity Surveying or Senior QS level within the civil engineering sector.
- Project experience on civils, infrastructure or utility schemes is essential.
- An understanding of NEC contracts and excellent presentation and communication skills are also essential.
- Quantity Surveyors wishing to apply must be confident in dealing with stakeholders from different disciplines to establish a complete commercial understanding.
