The role
Our client, a leading UK water and utilities contractor, is hiring a SHEQ Advisor (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) to raise standards across live construction and infrastructure sites. You'll be the go-to expert for site teams, helping them work safely, stay compliant and keep improving.
Key responsibilities
Advise operational teams on SHEQ procedures and best practice
Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance checks
Lead incident investigations and share lessons learned
Support risk assessments, method statements and management plans
Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training
Liaise with clients and regulators
Keep up to date with changing health, safety and environmental legislation
About you
Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in utilities, civil engineering or construction
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate
Relevant degree
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across London and the South East
Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence at every level
Able to stay calm and maintain standards under pressure
Desirable: environmental qualification; TechIOSH membership
