We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major water, wastewater, utilities and MEICA projects across the UK. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Senior QS / Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to take ownership of commercially complex infrastructure schemes, working on long-term secured frameworks with clear progression into senior commercial leadership roles.

The Role

  • You will take full commercial responsibility for water and utilities projects from award through to final account, ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance, and strong financial performance.
  • Working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers, you will support successful project delivery across multiple schemes while managing risk, change and commercial strategy.
  • Lead commercial management and cost control across infrastructure projects.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, variations and final accounts.
  • Produce CVRs, cost reports, forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Administer change control, compensation events and variations under NEC3 / NEC4.
  • Monitor budgets, risk and commercial performance.
  • Provide commercial support to operational and project teams.
  • Lead client and subcontractor commercial meetings.
  • Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and support team development.
  • Oversee commercial close-out and final account agreement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS / Project QS / Commercial Manager.
  • Strong background in water, utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering or construction.
  • Solid NEC3 / NEC4 contract experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred.
