Intersect Global is recruiting on behalf of a leading, privately owned Tier 1 contractor delivering a major package of infrastructure works on a landmark London development.

With the overall development valued at over £5 billion and our client secured to deliver approximately £250 million of works over the next five years, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a financially robust business offering long-term project security and unrivalled career progression.

The Role Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial delivery of a major programme of earthworks, highways and infrastructure works, managing a team of Quantity Surveyors while ensuring commercial performance is achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

Working under a JCT contract, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of complex civil engineering packages for a high-profile private development.

Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial management of major earthworks, highways and infrastructure packages.

Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors.

Oversee subcontract procurement, contract administration and commercial negotiations.

Manage subcontractor accounts, variations, valuations and final accounts.

Identify commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring projects are delivered profitably.

Work closely with project delivery teams, consultants and the client to achieve commercial objectives.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures.

Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor, or be a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to progress.

A strong background delivering major earthworks, highways or civil engineering projects for a principal contractor.

Previous experience delivering projects for private developers would be highly advantageous.

Experience leading or mentoring commercial teams.

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

Excellent commercial acumen, communication and stakeholder management skills.
