We are working with a leading civils main contractor who is experiencing significant growth following the recent award of several lucrative, long-term water and utilities frameworks across Kent and the South East. As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to support the commercial delivery of high-volume civils and utilities works, including projects for South East Water. This role offers excellent long-term stability, exposure to major frameworks, and clear opportunities for career progression within a growing contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial management of water and utilities civils projects
- Weekly cost and revenue reporting and analysis
- Control and validation of daily completed works submissions
- Preparation and management of Schedules of Rates (SOR)
- Subcontractor cost reconciliation and preparation of payment certificates
- Liaison with Operations and Planning teams on programme, progress, and scope changes
- Commercial review of schemes against framework targets
- Pricing high-volume, low-value civils and utilities works
- Supporting weekly and monthly WIP reviews
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils, water, utilities, or infrastructure
- Strong background working on high-volume, low-value frameworks
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Strong Excel capability (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
