A major civil engineering and water contractor is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a new trunk water main project valued at £15M. The project has a minimum of two years to run and is administered under NEC terms and conditions. This Senior Quantity Surveyor is a hybrid working role and will be based in Oxfordshire or Berkshire two days per week.

The Role

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager, responsibilities include the full range of post-contract duties including:
    • Cost Reporting
    • Budgetary Management
    • Working with the Project Manager to identify risks and opportunities in the sub programme
    • Management of supplier and sub-contractor accounts
    • Provide leadership and support to junior members of the Quantity Surveying team.

Experience Required

  • Suitable applicants will be educated in BSc Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a stable career history working for recognised contractors on civil engineering, infrastructure, or utility contracts.
  • You will have a thorough working knowledge of NEC contracts.
