A regional specialist Civil Engineering Contractor which carries infrastructure improvement projects across Sussex, Kent and Hampshire is looking for an experienced Project Control Manager to join their team based in Sussex.
This is a great opportunity to join a thriving team at the beginning of a major legacy project which will have a huge impact on communities in the South of England. The Project Control Manager will report to the Project Director and other members of the Project Leadership Team.
The Role
- To provide support to members of the construction management and commercial/Quantity Surveying teams with cost estimating, programming, risk management, resource forecasting, change management and document control including BIM.
- You will also be the main point of contact for pricing, cost control, planning, scheduling, document control, BIM and risk analysis.
- You will provide continuity between the cost control, planning/scheduling, and estimating functions and deliverables.
- The Project Control Manager will also effectively communicate with Joint Venture parties’ in-house teams and with clients on project controls issues.
- You will lead project-level reporting and the timely informing of management to drive compliance.
- You will also support project reviews and senior-level meetings to manage performance and delivery.
- The Project Control Manager will also oversee the BIM plan implementation and ensure nesting within wider project controls activities and reporting.
Experience/Qualifications required
- Understanding of scheduling/programming, cost forecasting, dashboards and senior level reporting
- Practical experience of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts & practical experience of change management
- BIM and document management
- Knowledge of construction techniques in particular water projects
- CSCS card – Manager or Academically Qualified
- Degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
