Where You’ll Be Working
You’ll join a team supporting clients in safeguarding the water supply, improving environmental performance, and managing demand for future generations. The focus is on enhancing and extending asset life while ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This position sits within the Water and Wastewater Capital Projects team, delivering major programmes that keep vital infrastructure resilient and sustainable for the long term.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors across multiple water infrastructure projects
- Manage commercial risk, procurement strategy, and contract negotiations (NEC / JCT)
- Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure targets are achieved
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and client teams to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and delivery
- Support the development of commercial frameworks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with client, environmental, and regulatory standards, including AMP targets
About You
- Extensive experience in a senior Quantity Surveying role within the water or utilities sector
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and public sector procurement
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS or equivalent chartership preferred)
