We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for an Outside IR35 contract supporting South East Water engineering projects across Kent. This role suits a commercially focused QS with strong experience in utilities and high-volume works, delivering tight cost control within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly cost and revenue reporting
- Control of daily completed works submissions
- Preparation and management of Schedules of Rates
- Subcontractor cost reconciliation and payment certificates
- Liaison with Operations and Planning on progress and scope changes
- Commercial review of schemes against targets
- Pricing high-volume, low-value works
- Supporting WIP reviews
- Weekly and monthly cost analysis
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in water, utilities, civil or mechanical engineering
- Strong background in high-volume, low-value frameworks
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
Desirable: Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
