Due to continued growth, a dynamic and highly successful business working across the civil engineering sector has a unique opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their team in London. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing commercial contracts and working with a range of stakeholders to maximise workforce capability whilst protecting the commercial interests of the group.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, responsibilities will include:

  1. Reviewing & overseeing contractual reviews ensuring legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Managing supply chain commercials, managing variations, early warning notices, and change controls are effectively communicated and compliant, advising senior leadership team on change.
  3. Leading pricing for new projects and regions.
  4. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Undertaking research into new markets and solutions to support business development and business growth.
  6. Reporting actual performance against key contractual terms.
  7. Develop and maintain KPI’s to track and improve commercial performance.
  8. Carry out contract reviews to understand gaps in operational delivery.
  9. Advise and support operational delivery teams.
  10. Design and manage end-to-end implementation of commercial processes with recruitment, operations, and finance teams.
  11. Partner with the senior leadership team to design and implement organizational change initiatives.

Experience Required

Suitable Commercial Managers will be educated to Degree level and will be able to demonstrate significant experience operating at a senior commercial level managing the commercial affairs within the civil engineering, rail, or utility sector.

This is a hybrid working role.
