Job Description

NOW HIRING: Senior Credit Analyst – Acquisition 12-Month FTC HybridWe’re working with a well-established UK financial services provider to find an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their Credit Risk team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Opportunity:This is a fantastic role for a credit risk professional with hands-on experience designing and delivering credit acquisition strategies. You’ll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimising credit and affordability policies, using decisioning systems and bureau data to drive strategy. Location: Hybrid – London Contract: 12-month FTC What You’ll Be Doing:Lead the development and testing of credit acquisition strategies including scorecards, cut-offs, and policy rules. Work across credit decisioning platforms (e.g., Powercurve) to implement and enhance strategies. Support key credit risk projects from analysis through to execution and governance. Collaborate with stakeholders across Credit, IT, Sales, and Operations to deliver change. Present insightful MI and recommendations to senior management and Credit Committees. Ensure governance, audit, and compliance requirements are met to a high standard. What You’ll Need:Proven experience in Credit Risk within Financial Services. Strong hands-on expertise in credit acquisition strategy, credit bureau data, and affordability frameworks. Advanced skills in SAS, SQL, Alteryx or similar tools, along with Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis clearly. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams. Bonus Points For: Knowledge of Experian Powercurve or similar decisioning platforms. Familiarity with FCA regulations and scorecard development. Understanding of end-to-end credit lifecycle in both consumer and commercial environments.
