Our client, a large organisation with over 5,000 staff, is urgently seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their Head Office team in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in network design and multi-site infrastructure, who is also comfortable working across on-premises server platforms and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and evolve our network and infrastructure to support a multi-office WAN environment.
  • Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and SAN storage; oversee Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware platforms.
  • Lead transition from the current network to enterprise-grade network solutions such as Juniper, Cisco, or Fortinet (experience would be highly beneficial).
  • Work with On-prem, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud technologies; main focus on network infrastructure, server environments, and WAN connectivity.
  • Plan, implement, and optimise network designs to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across multiple sites.
  • Be hands-on, technically curious, and project-focused with a track record of delivering multi-office network infrastructure projects.
  • Support enterprise infrastructure evolution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience with enterprise-grade network infrastructure across multiple sites; hands-on networking engineering.
  • Fortinet, Juniper, or Cisco certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
  • Exposure to On-prem, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud technologies.
