Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Compliance professional to take a leading role in ensuring robust regulatory oversight across a growing financial services business. With a focus on consumer credit, you will shape and deliver the compliance monitoring framework, provide regulatory guidance to senior stakeholders, and play a key role in maintaining a strong risk and compliance culture.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven consumer credit experience who is ready to step into a senior position with visibility at Board and Committee level. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan, producing detailed reports and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on consumer credit regulation, Consumer Duty, AML and financial crime.
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning, assessing impact and supporting implementation of new legislation.
  • Draft and update compliance policies, frameworks, and procedures to ensure alignment with FCA requirements.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting to the FCA and respond to ad-hoc queries.
  • Provide compliance input on strategic business change and transformation projects.
  • Manage and oversee complaints handling, risk events, and due diligence on third parties.
  • Support the design and delivery of compliance training across the business.
  • Prepare MI and regulatory updates for governance committees and the Board.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions with a strong compliance perspective.

About you

  • Significant experience in risk and compliance within FCA-regulated financial services, with a strong focus on consumer credit.
  • Proven track record in compliance monitoring and assurance work.
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer Duty, AML and financial crime obligations.
  • Confident interpreting regulation and translating it into clear business guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
