Job Description
We are supporting a growing financial services organisation in hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join their 2nd Line Risk function. This is a high-visibility role within a collaborative analytics team, working closely with risk colleagues and senior stakeholders across the business.
Unlike some larger tier-1 banks, here you’ll be directly visible, able to own your work end-to-end, and have real impact on decision making.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering data analysis, visualisation and automation to support the 2nd line Risk function.
- Building and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Partnering with colleagues across financial risk, credit risk and 1st line teams to provide analytics services.
- Supporting the team in modernisation projects – helping move from legacy tools into Power BI / Python.
- Contributing to data governance objectives and helping colleagues get the most from data.
- Acting as a key day-to-day contact in the team, ensuring analytics are delivered effectively.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst role, ideally within financial services or risk.
- Advanced skills in Power BI – this is essential.
- Strong communication skills – confident presenting insights and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Coding experience in Python (or SAS with willingness to learn Python).
- Knowledge of risk/financial terminology, and an interest in applying analytics in a risk management environment.
- Proactive, collaborative and able to thrive in a flat structure with high visibility.
