Our client is rapidly becoming a leader in its vertical market space and, due to sustained growth, is now seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Service Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic global organisation where you will work within the Global Service Support team, delivering exceptional first- and second-line technical support while also developing your third-line capabilities.
In this role, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents related to end-user devices, software, and local infrastructure. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining IT systems specific to the office environment, including servers, networking equipment, and peripherals, while ensuring all support activities align with user needs and business functionality. You’ll serve as the primary escalation point for unresolved issues within the Jersey office and work closely with the global Service Delivery team to support escalations and resolve complex technical challenges.
You should have experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Domains and Group Policies, as well as a solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards. A strong grasp of networking concepts and virtualization technologies is essential, along with an in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols. Familiarity with both Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as working knowledge of Veritas Backup Exec and RedStore online backup solutions, will be beneficial but not essential.
You’ll also play a key role in maintaining the security and integrity of local IT systems, managing backups, monitoring security protocols, and ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs. The role supports ITSM practices including Incident, Service, Problem, and Change Management, with alignment to ISO 27001 and ITIL v4 standards.
