InterQuest are supporting a challenger bank in identifying a Product Owner to join the bank on a contract basis.
Thie role would offer strong hybrid working and the opportunity to work from offices in the North West, South Wales or London. The position requires extensive experience in retail banking or consumer finance, with a strong emphasis on strategy, regulatory compliance, and product development.
Responsibilities
- Retail Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage governance throughout the product lifecycle. Partner with technical teams for the design, development, and delivery of new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure new products and modifications meet all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Product Design and Governance: Lead processes such as Fair Value assessments, customer journey mapping, and risk evaluations. Conduct regular product reviews to identify and implement improvements.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Prioritize enhancements that improve customer experience and mitigate risks in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
- Team Management: Set clear objectives and support the development of Product Specialists/Managers.
- Monitoring Market Trends: Stay updated on market trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor product performance metrics to ensure positive customer outcomes.
To be considered you would need:
- A strong bankground in retail banking in a product focussed role
- Excellent experience monitoring and development of new and existing retail banking products
- Knowledge of owning P&Ls for products
- Mortgage / Savings experience
