InterQuest are currently supporting a bank in identifying a Director of ERM to join the bank on a permenenant basis. The role would lead the 2nd line risk function and would report to senior stakeholders.
This bank value on site interaction and would require the candidate to be in their fantastic London offices on a full time basis (5 days PW)
A leadership role within the Risk Management function focuses on developing and managing enterprise and operational risk frameworks. Responsibilities include shaping the risk appetite framework, conducting risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), and preparing scenarios for regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain policies and frameworks for enterprise and operational risk management.

- Lead the development of the banks ICAAP risk scenarios, including quantifying potential impacts for regulatory requirements.
- Ensure prompt escalation of risk issues, incidents, and emerging risks to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with various teams to facilitate risk self-assessments and targeted operational risk projects.
- Analyze trends in key risk indicators and provide insights to the Risk Management function.
To be considered you would need:
- Strong risk management background
- Excellent background working on ICAAP submission from a risk management perspective
- Fintech, challenger or payments sector experience
