Senior Risk Manager – Challenger Bank
Hybrid – 3 days a week in Hampshire
Are you an experienced risk professional looking to make an impact in a fast-growing challenger bank? Our client is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to support their consumer lending division on a temporary basis, with responsibility for managing and escalating key risks across the first line of defence.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a dynamic business, working closely with senior stakeholders and ensuring effective oversight of intermediaries, retail partners, and lending activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking ownership of first line risk management
- Building and maintaining a robust risk framework that identifies, monitors, and escalates risks effectively.
- Providing clear oversight of retail partners and brokers, ensuring exposures are properly quantified and managed.
- Managing and motivating a small team to deliver consistently high standards of risk management.

- Strong background in 1st line risk management within retail banking or lending.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and escalating risks across the business.
