This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual financial and management accounts, financial analysis, and the oversight of regulatory reporting. Youll also supervise and support the development of a Finance Assistant Manager and contribute to broader finance-related responsibilities across the organisation.What is expected of the Financial Reporting Manager?Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.Lead the preparation and review of corporation tax returns, VAT returns, quarterly tax payments, and BBSI returns.Manage the preparation of disclosure notes and analysis for annual financial statements.Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring timely and effective audit processes.Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting processes.Supervise the Assistant Manager, Finance, providing mentorship and oversight of tasks including reconciliations, expense reviews, and reporting.Assist in the preparation of FINREP returns and other ad-hoc regulatory reports.Identify and implement process improvements across reporting systems and financial operations.Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.Provide cover for senior finance colleagues as required, including the Chief Accountant and Group Reporting Manager.Support the CFO and Chief Accountant with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.What we look for in a Financial Reporting Manager:Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).Minimum 3 years\’ experience in a similar financial reporting role within the financial services sector.Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS 9.Experience in corporation tax and VAT reporting.Regulatory reporting experience, particularly with FINREP.Demonstrated ability to manage and develop direct reports.Strong initiative, organisational and time management skills.Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication, analytical, and Excel skills.What the Financial Reporting Manager will receive:Comprehensive employee benefits packageA collaborative and inclusive work environmentOpportunities to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive finance teamThis is an outstanding opportunity for a finance professional to make a real impact in a high-performing team while continuing to grow their career in the heart of London\’s financial district.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries Banking, Financial Services, and Investment BankingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at InterQuest Group by 2xSign in to set job alerts for \”Financial Reporting Manager\” roles.
