This is a hands-on position within a collaborative team, where you’ll support in delivering robust risk and compliance outcomes across the business. The role involves monitoring and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management framework, coordinating regulatory reporting, and providing key risk insights to senior leadership.
You will work across a broad range of risk areas, including reporting, risk appetite, key performance indicators, regulatory frameworks, and controls. This is an excellent role for someone looking to develop a wider understanding of risk, gain exposure to senior management, and take on a high-impact position in a stable, established organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the ongoing maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including risk strategy, risk appetite, and policies.
- Produce key risk and compliance reports for senior management and board committees by extracting and analysing data from a GRC system using Excel.
- Identify trends and insights from risk data, initiating follow-up actions where necessary.
- Coordinate the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) in line with agreed schedules.
- Work closely with business areas to monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact.
- Assist in setting and refining risk appetites and key performance indicators.
- Engage with stakeholders across the business, running workshops and fostering a strong risk culture.
- Support strategic projects aimed at improving risk and compliance processes, including enhancements to risk control self-assessments (RCSAs) and reporting.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure policies and standards align with the broader regulatory landscape.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues looking to deepen their risk and compliance knowledge.
- Experience in risk and compliance within UK financial services.
- Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools (e.g., Riskonnect or similar) and experience using Excel to manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and generate insights.
- Solid understanding of risks, controls, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
