The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 ÂŁ per year.
This position will review multiple aspects of revenue accounting and reporting to ensure that the supported business units are following IPG policies, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) requirements. This position will liaise with business unit CFOs and other senior Finance staff, as well as with IPG Corporate accounting staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review SAP contract creation forms and amendment forms in conjunction with the client contract or other forms of persuasive evidence, to approve the revenue recognition methodology.
- Ensure that all documentation that supports revenue is complete and accurate.
- Review, analyse and approve the revenue worksheets for UK plants to a strict timeline at Month End, Quarter End and Year End, and to be flexible on working hours/days during busy periods.
- Assist UK Revenue Controller and Senior Revenue Accountant with WIP aging and clearing.
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports to assist in clearing aged balances.
- Provide training and guidance to UK agencies on revenue and commercial queries.
- Assist UK Revenue Controller and Senior Revenue Accountant with internal and external audit requirements.
- Adhere to and implement IPG standard Policy & Procedures including new revenue standard.
- Other special projects as and when required.
- To undertake any other facility related task as deemed appropriate, including enhancing the appearance of the workplace at every opportunity.
Skills & Success Factors:
- Solid financial background/knowledge (part qualified or by experience).
- Motivated, self-starter who can work independently and make decisions.
- Good organizational skills, a methodical thinker and be able to prioritize workload.
- Ability to solve problems and multitask.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office products required.
- Experience using SAP a definite plus.
- Revenue recognition knowledge/experience a definite plus.
