We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our growing team in the UK. As a Research Analyst, you will support a variety of primary research projects for industry-leading entertainment clients. This role requires the ability to think critically, tell a story using data, and work with a team of equally passionate entertainment enthusiasts. The ideal candidate is someone with experience at a traditional market research supplier, with a demonstrated passion for movies, TV, and streaming, including following box office, production slates, and content trends. You will be responsible for helping ensure quality, client-ready deliverables, working with a team of smart, passionate analysts.

At Interpret, we consider ourselves fun scientists, and we’re searching for someone who holds a common love for the industries we work in, has a curiosity for consumer behaviour, and wants to apply their analytic chops and methodological expertise to the entertainment space. A fun scientist is someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where your hobbies and personal passion for entertainment make work feel like, well, not work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of multiple primary research projects in various stages of development, demonstrating a clear ability to multi-task.
  • Assist in all phases of the quantitative and qualitative research process, including vendor management, desktop research, study design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, field/recruiting, and tab, data analysis and report generation.
  • Adhere to quality control processes at each stage of the research process across survey programming logic, data tables, participant rescreening (qual), and reports.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, helping write cogent data-backed “stories.”

Skills:

  • Analytical; possess an ability to understand and translate research results to help tell a relevant and compelling story.
  • Communicative; excellent verbal skills, both spoken and written.
  • Detail-oriented; able to fully proof questionnaires, programming logic, data tables, and reports.
  • Team-oriented; enjoy growing with other team members.
  • Multi-task capable and time-sensitive; proficient in working on multiple research projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; SPSS a plus.
  • A personal passion for writing is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing box office and entertainment market trends is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing research (supplier-side).
  • Relevant degrees, such as English, history, journalism, market research, sociology, psychology, or anthropology a plus.
  • Research projects via academic programs or independent research should be listed on resume.

Location + Compensation + Benefits:

While this is a remote position, and you will be able to work from your home (except as required from time-to-time to be physically present in the office or elsewhere in order to fulfil your job duties), the ideal candidate lives near enough to central London to be able to join team meetings in-person and/or attend in-person focus groups with minimal commute. The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $40,000 GBP - $45,000 GBP annually. Compensation is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. In addition to the base salary, total compensation also includes tiered performance bonus, health/dental/vision, pension, generous paid time off, physical & mental wellness program, paid parental/family leave, and continuing education scholarship program. All compensation and benefits will be facilitated by our international Employer of Record, DEEL.

Job function: Insights Analyst, Project Management, Client Service.
