Working in partnership with Brett Concrete Ltd, Interpersonnel Recruitment are seeking a Production Manager ideally from the ready mix concrete industry. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join the management team, responsible for several production plants located within the southern areas. The sites that this role will manage are Cluster 1: Portsmouth, Godstone, Crawley, Guildford; Cluster 2: Bexhill, Newhaven, Tunbridge Wells.
The Production Manager will have a proven track record in management of multi sites, cultural behaviours and budgets/costs. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager, making decisions based on business needs and be confident in your approach in business and people management.
Job Details
- The Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Operations, Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Sustainability.
- Budget responsibility for all aspects of operational spend including fixed and variable costs.
- Produce accurate financial forecasts for capital expenditure and exceptional maintenance spend.
- Provide leadership, recruit new members of staff, and ensure training and development plans are in place.
- Maximise site availability and output through effective maintenance plans and utilisation of LEAN Six Sigma techniques.
- Ensure accurate stock management procedures and controls are in place.
- Provide the highest level of customer service and product quality to business customers.
Person Specification
- The successful applicant will possess or be prepared to work towards the relevant SHE qualifications, MPQC Level 4 Diploma (or similar and or started), IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, IEMA Environmental Sustainability for Managers or equivalent.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of people at the highest standards with a minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience in a similar role, covering multi sites.
- Ideally industry knowledge and experience in Ready Mix concrete.
- You will need to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a committed team as well as being a goal setting self-starter.
- In addition, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop personal relationships with both external and internal customers and suppliers.
