Interpath is looking for an experienced candidate to help develop Interpath\’s growing financial modelling capabilities.We help our corporate clients understand their businesses through building models, reviewing models and data analytics. Our financial modelling capability forms part of our Data & Technology group which combines data analytics, modelling and other tech-related consulting capabilities to serve a wide range of client needs, often working alongside other parts of Interpath. We primarily use Excel to deliver high quality, flexible and bespoke analytics and modelling solutions but also often work with other technology solutions such as Power BI and Qlik. If you enjoy translating complex problems into models, this is the team for you. Our team is spread out across the country with staff in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.Responsibilities Supporting large and small projects to support clients in tackling business issuesApplying technical skills to devise compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problemsBuilding constructive working relationships to develop internal and external networksProviding high quality and flexible modelling solutions for a diverse range of clientsUsing existing and developing new modelling skills to support delivery, develop capabilities and share knowledge on solutions and best practice techniquesA variety of modelling work including cost modelling, financial forecast and scenario modelling, transaction modelling, debt and project finance modellingDeveloping tactical solutions that automate finance and other operationsDevelopment of data models to support modelling and analytics deliverablesUsing visualisation and analytical software to drive insights from data to inform client decisionsSupporting the various teams within Interpath (Restructuring, Advisory, Deals) to exploit modelling and data capabilitiesKey competencies Aptitude for managing projects, clients and stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skillsExposure to scoping, designing and building financial modelsStrong communication skills to be able to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical wayExperience in supporting multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience in building and maintaining strong working relationships across a range of teamsAbility to identify and implement process improvements in a controlled mannerRequirements A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar)A first-class or upper second-class degree in a numerate subjectExperience in the Business Intelligence/Data Analytics spaceUniversity degree 2.1 or higher (or equivalent) in Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics or equivalentCompletion of a recognised financial modelling courseConsulting experienceData visualisation experience in Power BI, QlikView or TableauNumerate & analytical with knowledge of data managementStrong knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques (e.g. clustering)Technically self-sufficient with a desire and ability to research and pick up new tools and techniques quicklyAbility to visualise data effectively and communicate findings and recommendations clearlyBenefits At Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business.
