Interpath is an international and fast‑growing advisory business with deep expertise in a broad range of specialisms spanning deals, advisory and restructuring. We deliver tangible results for global businesses, their investors and stakeholders when complex problems arise, and critical decisions need to be made. Interpath is agile, independent and conflict‑free, and our passion for doing what’s right, every time, sets us apart. Our diverse teams provide specialist technical knowledge combined with deep sector experience across our service line specialisms.
Our Corporate Simplification team specialises in Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs) and has helped to successfully prepare for and implement the elimination of thousands of entities, both on a standalone basis and working alongside tax, legal and accounting specialists as part of broader group reorganisation / Legal Entity Rationalisation (LER) projects. We are seeking a Manager to join our UK team. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid way, combining home and office working with in‑person client and business‑development meetings at external locations. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our market‑leading team, within a successful and growing international business.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advisory work across closure management, pre‑liquidation planning and due diligence, liaising with management and advisors to identify and implement innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Manage a portfolio of MVLs from appointment to closure, ensuring statutory compliance and case progression in line with agreed timetables and budgets.
- Support engagement leaders and senior staff while coaching, developing and mentoring junior team members.
- Lead business development initiatives including thought leadership, opportunity targeting, client proposals and pipeline management, while maintaining a professional network.
- Onboard clients and monitor developments in legislation, case law and best practice, recommending and implementing process improvements where appropriate.
Inclusion at Interpath
We exist to help our clients seize transformational opportunities or navigate their most difficult challenges, and so we need to draw on the brightest minds from the broadest range of backgrounds to bring the most insightful perspectives. To do that, it is essential that it is in our DNA to support and celebrate our people as individuals and that we all have the ability, resources and guidance to achieve our long‑term career ambitions.
Values
- Do the right thing – Our comfort zone is uncomfortable. We always make the right decision, not simply what is easy or popular.
- All hands on deck – Stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with colleagues and clients, be that physically or from afar. Our individual expertise may find the answers, but implementation happens through teamwork.
- Passion drives success – The impossible is always possible. We push the boundaries of what is expected because we’re never satisfied with the status quo.
- Embrace difference – Cultures to mindsets, we welcome all. We believe that people are equal, but not the same.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of the MVL process and relevant insolvency legislation across Scotland, England and Wales, with proven experience preparing entities for closure and managing a portfolio of MVLs.
- Experience delivering LER projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, with a strong understanding of corporate law, tax implications, accounting principles and operational considerations relating to entity elimination.
- Highly organised self‑starter with strong time‑management, able to handle multiple priorities and shifting deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality analysis and reports underpinned by sound financial, commercial and business acumen.
- Committed, proactive and enthusiastic team player, equally effective working independently, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and deliver excellent client service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A university degree, CPI/JIEB qualification and an accountancy qualification (CA/ACA/ACCA) are preferred.
Benefits
At Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business. That's why we provide employees with a competitive and comprehensive reward package including compelling salaries and a range of core and optional benefits.
