The Insolvency/IPS Product Lead owns the end-to-end management, operation, and continuous improvement of the Insolvency Practitioner System (IPS) across Interpath's global restructuring business. This includes ensuring IPS supports efficient operations while meeting regulatory requirements and industry best practice. The role covers day-to-day product ownership, including user support, training, adoption, and driving ongoing enhancements to maximise platform value.
A key priority is leading the transition from the on-premise IPS SQL platform to IPS Cloud. This involves managing a critical transformation programme, working with the vendor, internal SMEs, and client-facing teams to prepare, test, and migrate systems and data. The role also oversees pre-migration configuration, ensuring security, user roles, and workflows are aligned for a smooth transition.
The role acts as the primary interface between business users, technology teams, and external partners, ensuring IPS meets current and future needs. It balances BAU support with strategic development, maintaining system stability while driving improvements in functionality, compliance, and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for IPS, providing support, guidance and best practice advice
- Manage and resolve user queries and support tickets, acting as an escalation point for complex IPS queries
- Manage end-to-end testing of IPS upgrades before release to production
- Lead the transition from IPS SQL to IPS Cloud, collaborating with the vendor, internal SMEs and client-facing staff
- Deliver user support and training, helping teams maximise effective use of IPS
- Develop and update training materials, user guides, and process documentation
- Support the onboarding of new users or teams, ensuring the adoption of IPS
- Establish and manage the product vision, ensuring development priorities reflect both business goals and regulatory requirements
- Own and prioritise BAU backlog items (bugs, enhancements, configuration changes) to ensure service quality
Requirements
Education and Experience Required
- Proven experience in IPS SQL, either in a support role eg, Product Owner, or as an advanced (client-facing) user
- Strong understanding of insolvency processes and case lifecycle
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to act as the bridge between users and technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues and identify root causes
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of IPS Cloud
- Experience or exposure to non-UK insolvencies eg, Hong Kong, Australia
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- A recognised insolvency qualification or relevant insolvency experience
- Experience of delivering training, or the creation of training guides or documentation

Values
Our four core values are the cornerstones of culture at Interpath and steer everything from everyday decisions to larger strategic initiatives:
- Do the right thing - Our comfort zone is uncomfortable. We always make the right decision, not simply what is easy or popular.
- All hands on deck - stand shoulder-to-shoulder with colleagues and clients, be that physically or from afar. Our individual expertise may find the answers, but implementation happens through teamwork.
- Passion drives success - The impossible is always possible. We push the boundaries of what is expected because we're never satisfied with the status quo.
- Embrace different - cultures to mindsets, we welcome all. We believe that people are equal, but not the same.
