The Insolvency/IPS Product Lead owns the end‑to‑end management, operation, and continuous improvement of the Insolvency Practitioner System (IPS) across Interpath’s global restructuring business. This includes ensuring IPS supports efficient operations while meeting regulatory requirements and industry best practice. The role covers day‑to‑day product ownership, including user support, training, adoption, and driving ongoing enhancements to maximise platform value. A key priority is leading the transition from the on‑premise IPS SQL platform to IPS Cloud. This involves managing a critical transformation programme, working with the vendor, internal SMEs, and client‑facing teams to prepare, test, and migrate systems and data. The role also oversees pre‑migration configuration, ensuring security, user roles, and workflows are aligned for a smooth transition. The role acts as the primary interface between business users, technology teams, and external partners, ensuring IPS meets current and future needs. It balances BAU support with strategic development, maintaining system stability while driving improvements in functionality, compliance, and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for IPS, providing support, guidance and best practice advice
- Manage and resolve user queries and support tickets, acting as an escalation point for complex IPS queries
- Manage end‑to‑end testing of IPS upgrades before release to production
- Lead the transition from IPS SQL to IPS Cloud, collaborating with the vendor, internal SMEs and client‑facing staff
- Deliver user support and training, helping teams maximise effective use of IPS
- Develop and update training materials, user guides, and process documentation
- Support the onboarding of new users or teams, ensuring the adoption of IPS
- Establish and manage the product vision, ensuring development priorities reflect both business goals and regulatory requirements
- Own and prioritise BAU backlog items (bugs, enhancements, configuration changes) to ensure service quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in IPS SQL, either in a support role e.g., Product Owner, or as an advanced (client‑facing) user
- Strong understanding of insolvency processes and case lifecycle
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to act as the bridge between users and technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues and identify root causes
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience of IPS Cloud
- Experience or exposure to non‑UK insolvencies e.g., Hong Kong, Australia
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- A recognised insolvency qualification or relevant insolvency experience
- Experience of delivering training, or the creation of training guides or documentation
