Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our UK team.

The successful candidate will have hybrid work flexibility, combining home and office working with in-person client and business-development meetings at external locations.

They will support the management group and delegate to junior team members, onboard clients and assist with engagement acceptance procedures.

They will deliver advisory work across closure management, pre-liquidation planning and due diligence, and oversee MVLs from appointment to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management group and delegate to junior staff as appropriate.
  • Onboard clients and assist with engagement acceptance procedures.
  • Deliver advisory work across closure management, pre-liquidation planning and due diligence, working collaboratively with other team members to support and assist clients.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of MVLs from appointment to closure, including realising assets, handling creditor claims, and ensuring statutory compliance and case progression in line with agreed timetables and budgets.
  • Assist with company research, business development initiatives and other related ad hoc tasks, while establishing and growing a professional network.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the MVL process and relevant insolvency legislation across England/Wales and Scotland, with experience preparing entities for closure and overseeing a portfolio of insolvencies and/or MVLs.
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong time management skills, flexibility of thinking and the ability to stay focused handling multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Committed, proactive and enthusiastic team player, while equally effective working independently.
  • Experience delegating to junior staff and providing on-job training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • A university degree and CPI/accountancy qualification are preferred.
