Overview
You will lead and grow the UK Corporate, Transaction and Financial Services Tax offerings, advising financial services clients and managing high-profile engagements. In this leadership role, you’ll develop long-term client relationships, drive business development, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver integrated tax solutions. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to scale Interpath’s Tax Services, shaping advisory outcomes for a diverse client base. Responsibilities
- Leading complex UK corporate tax, transaction tax, restructuring tax and financial services tax engagements across diverse clients
- Advising financial services clients (asset managers, investment funds, banks, insurers, lenders) on complex tax matters
- Acting as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, refinancing, and strategic corporate matters
- Leading tax due diligence and transaction structuring for corporate, private equity, and financial services clients
- Providing technical and commercial advice on reorganisations, group restructurings, carve-outs, cross-border transactions, and fund-related structures
- Collaborating with restructuring, debt advisory, transaction services, and wider advisory teams for integrated solutions
- Owning end-to-end delivery and commercial management of engagements from scoping to final deliverable
- Developing and maintaining senior client relationships and identifying expansion opportunities
- Leading business development: originating opportunities, proposals, and converting prospects into clients
- Contributing to thought leadership and representing Interpath at market events
- Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams and fostering collaboration
- Using AI or data tools to improve efficiency where possible
Key requirements
- Experienced tax professional with a track record in complex advisory work and business development
- CTA and/or ACA qualified, or equivalent
- Extensive UK Corporate Tax experience in professional services or tax advisory environments
- Significant Transaction Tax experience including due diligence, structuring, SPA tax input, restructurings
- Proven experience advising financial services clients and regulated businesses
- Track record in managing complex advisory engagements and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Strong ability to build and maintain senior client relationships
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and fund structures for financial services
- Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coaching and developing teams in a collaborative culture
- Established network in UK Financial Services and/or Private Equity market
