The Head of Reward is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to build and lead Interpath's Reward function.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll develop and deliver the firm's reward strategy across all geographies and business lines.
You'll lead all aspects of compensation, including equity programmes, salary, incentives, executive remuneration, benchmarking, governance and reward analytics, ensuring our reward framework supports business growth and attracts and retains top talent.
Please note that pensions and employee benefits are not within the scope of this role.
Working closely with Finance, People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, senior leaders and the Remuneration Committee, you'll provide expert reward advice, lead annual compensation cycles, support acquisitions and integration activity, and ensure reward practices remain competitive and compliant across multiple jurisdictions.
This role would suit someone with strong reward expertise, experience in a private equity-backed environment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver Interpath's global reward strategy, ensuring it supports business growth, performance and talent retention.
- Design and manage competitive compensation frameworks, including salary structures, bonus schemes, incentive plans and equity programmes.
- Lead market benchmarking and maintain reward frameworks that reflect market trends across multiple jurisdictions and specialist teams.
- Oversee the annual compensation and salary review process, partnering with Finance on budgeting, modelling and governance.
- Partner with People Business Partners and senior leaders to align reward with performance and promote a pay-for-performance culture.
- Lead reward strategy and package design for Managing Director hires, including executive remuneration and equity proposals.
- Develop and maintain job architecture, career frameworks and compensation banding across the firm.
- Ensure reward practices comply with legislation, governance requirements and pay transparency obligations across all jurisdictions.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on reward matters, including hiring offers, retention, promotions and off-cycle compensation.
- Deliver reward analytics, support acquisitions and integration activity, and provide insight and recommendations to the Remuneration Committee.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Compensation, Reward or Total Rewards within a professional services, consulting, advisory or partnership-based environment.
- Proven expertise in compensation strategy, salary benchmarking, bonus and incentive design, and annual reward review processes.
- Strong understanding of executive remuneration, including Managing Director-level compensation structures.
- Experience partnering with Finance, HR and senior business leaders to deliver compensation programmes aligned to commercial objectives.
- Knowledge of reward governance, pay equity and relevant employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using compensation data to inform decision-making and provide business insight.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience within financial advisory, restructuring, consulting or wider professional services organisations ideally in a private equity setting.
- Exposure to Remuneration Committee and Board-level reward governance.
- Experience supporting reward due diligence and integration activities as part of M&A transactions.
- Knowledge of international reward practices across the UK, EMEA, US and Asia Pacific markets.
- Experience with reward analytics, compensation systems and reporting tools.
- Relevant reward, HR or finance qualifications (e. g. CIPD, Worldat Work, Reward Specialist certifications).
