Interpath are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Asset Tracing and Complex Investigations practice, based in London. The team specialises in undertaking challenging investigations in support of asset tracing and recovery and complex commercial disputes. Our casework is entirely global in scope and often involves work against sovereign states and alongside high-profile matters. The growth of this practice is part of our accelerated expansion of its global Advisory capabilities, and you will work closely with our industry-leading specialists across our various international offices. This role would suit an experienced analyst who is looking for an opportunity to ‘stretch their legs’ within an industry leading team and a rapidly growing business with global coverage. You will have at least 4-5 years’ experience within a recognised name in the commercial investigations sector, conducting open-source investigations across multiple jurisdictions. Demonstrable experience in asset tracing casework is a pre-requisite.
Responsibilities will include:
- Use of the full range of investigative tools and datasets (training provided where needed).
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including legal professionals and financial experts.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
- Engage with clients to discuss findings, strategies, and next steps in the investigation process.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance on investigative techniques and best practices.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of business development opportunities within the practice.
- Overseeing and coordinating investigative assignments on various complex international casework.
- Leading investigative teams across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Leading client engagements and project reviews.
- Taking a proactive role in business development and sector events.

Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Law, Humanities or a related field.
- You will have at least 3 -5 years’ experience in the investigations sector, including on asset tracing casework or preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and make sound recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interactions.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in using the usual suite of private sector investigative tools and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
