Interpath Advisory is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager for our Transaction Services team in our Edinburgh, Birmingham or Leeds offices. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse portfolio of clients, including prominent private equity and corporate entities. As an Assistant Manager, you will have the unique chance to work closely with industry-leaders in a dynamic and entrepreneurial Deal Advisory practice. Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of the transaction lifecycle, engaging in both buy-side and sell-side assignments. You will play a pivotal role in supporting & delivering successful transactions by collaborating with our corporate finance and debt advisory specialists within the Interpath network. In this capacity, you will also take on a mentorship role, guiding our analysts and associates while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of Financial Due Diligence (FDD) and Vendor Due Diligence (VDD) reports.
- Evaluate Quality of Earnings to pinpoint extraordinary income and costs that impact underlying earnings.
- Analyse and benchmark Net Working Capital (NWC) based on historical trends.
- Identify debt-like items through an in-depth review of balance sheets and off-balance-sheet arrangements.
- Critically assess target forecasts, highlighting possible risks and opportunities.
- Engage in client meetings and serve as the primary contact for day-to-day FDD execution.
- Strengthen client relationships while mentoring associates within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years post-degree experience in audit, or financial services.
- Chartered Accountancy, or other similar professional qualification, preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and strong team orientation.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven record in managing relationships with clients.
- Experience in business development strategy is advantageous but not mandatory.
