Role Summary
The FRC Coxswain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Fast Rescue Craft (FRC). The role includes launching, recovering, and manoeuvring the craft to support emergency response, rescue operations, and routine maritime activities while ensuring compliance with maritime safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manoeuvre the Fast Rescue Craft safely in various sea and weather conditions
- Act as Coxswain during operations
- Conduct pre-use checks, routine inspections, and basic maintenance of the FRC
- Ensure compliance with STCW requirements, safety procedures, and operational guidelines
- Ensure all crew adhere to safety requirements while onboard
Requirements
- STCW Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (FRB)
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- Valid ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate
Experience
- Proven experience operating jet drive vessels is desirable
- Previous experience as an FRC Coxswain or in a similar operational role is desirable
