Job Overview
As a Transport and Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the transport and logistics team in coordinating and managing the movement of goods and materials. You will work closely with the team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling transportation of goods and materials to their destination
- Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ensuring stock availability for timely delivery
- Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve any transportation issues or delays
- Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
- Maintain and update transportation databases and systems

Requirements
