We are recruiting for a Supply Chain logistics intern to join our business on a fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for the supervision of the inbound and outbound traffic, managing the receiving and delivery process of goods or services. This is a very high profile and responsible role within the organisation, requiring someone who is extremely organised and can cope well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of the company’s Oracle system.
- Responsible for clearance of import cargo, by obtaining containers files from HQ.
- Arranging containers delivery according to the capacity of the warehouse.
- Assisting HQ to monitor and optimize the overseas supply chain.
- Working closely with the sales team and order processing team, take quick action for other colleague’s demands, adjust and optimize the overseas supply chain.
- Communicating with HQ for all relevant issues such as chasing up orders, recommend operational improvement, monitor sea freight, etc.
- Liaise with different courier companies for all relevant issues and monitor all the changes regarding delivery.
- Maintaining budgets.
Qualifications
- A highly motivated and positive attitude is essential to this role as working within the Supply Chain industry can often be very demanding and challenging.
- A flexible approach to negotiating and a willingness to be able to work to time-sensitive deadlines is essential.
- Problem solver.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and industry-standard computer programs.
- Understanding of Oracle system or similar warehouse management software.
