About the Business: The Doggo Group is a UK-based holding company focused on acquiring, building, and managing businesses within the dog services industry. Our aim is to create a connected ecosystem of services and products that make dog ownership simpler, more accessible, and more enjoyable. We work with established dog service businesses—such as kennels, training providers, and care services—helping owners transition out while improving operations, marketing, and overall customer experience. In addition to acquisitions, we also develop and operate our own in‑house businesses and projects, all managed under The Doggo Group. Our approach is hands‑on and customer‑focused. We prioritise long‑term growth, strong systems, and high‑quality service over short‑term gains. As we grow, we are building a portfolio of well‑run, scalable businesses that work together to better serve dog owners. We are currently in an early growth phase, making this an exciting opportunity to be part of building a modern, fast-moving company from the ground up. Unlike traditional internships, this role involves working directly on building and growing real businesses from day one, with the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of social media strategies across The Doggo Group and its businesses/projects.
- Create engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Support the growth of our social media presence from the ground up, including ideation and experimentation.
- Monitor performance (views, engagement, growth) and suggest improvements based on data.
- Research competitors and trends within the dog services and wider pet industry.
- Help plan and execute creative marketing campaigns for new and existing projects.
- Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and building community.
- Support wider marketing and growth activities across the group.
Requirements:
- Interest in social media, marketing, and content creation (formal experience not essential).
- Strong understanding of major social platforms and current trends.
- Good written communication skills (British English).
- Creative mindset with a willingness to test ideas and learn quickly.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Basic skills in content creation (e.g. Canva, CapCut, or similar tools) are a plus.
- Strong interest in dogs, the pet industry, or working with dog-related businesses.
- Proactive mindset – willing to take initiative rather than wait for instructions.
Benefits:
- Hands‑on experience building brands and businesses from the ground up.
- Direct involvement in real projects, not just observation.
- Opportunity to take ownership and make a visible impact.
- Exposure to multiple areas of marketing and business growth.
- Mentorship and close collaboration with the founder.
- Potential for a long-term role as the business grows.
