Scotia Capital Partners is looking for undergraduate university students to join our Quantity Surveying placement programme in summer 2021. The programme spans a minimum of 6‑12 weeks and offers opportunities to work on projects across the UK, allowing you to build on your skills and experiences and bring your learning to life.
Program Details
The placement begins in June 2021. Participants will first complete a 1‑week induction and then spend the remainder of the programme learning the art and science of quantity surveying, as well as broader business functions such as site management, technical work, and business development. The company supports progress toward full RICS membership.
Responsibilities
- Receive coaching and mentoring to complete assignments and projects.
- Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
- Learn and use internal software to assist with project and task completion.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and interns to network with business leaders.
- Apply Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and procedures in all situations.
Qualifications
- 3rd‑year undergraduate or final‑year student in a construction‑related degree such as Quantity Surveying.
- High academic standards and a demonstrated passion for a career in the real estate development sector.
- Evidence of leadership skills, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
- Flexible to work throughout the Scottish region as required.
