You will be working for Flake Bake, the UK’s largest manufacturer of handmade Jamaican patties. Flake Bake has achieved significant milestones in the food industry, winning Aldi’s Next Big Thing on Channel 4, selling over 100,000 patties in 10 days, and securing a multi-million contract to supply all 1,000 Aldi UK stores daily. The brand has been featured on BBC News, ITV News and The Independent, and continues to grow rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and other senior executives, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and emails, responding to or redirecting them as necessary.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain and update company databases and filing systems.
  • Coordinate and organize company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working condition.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Conduct research and compile data as needed.
  • Assist with personal tasks and errands for the CEO, such as booking personal appointments and managing personal finances.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders on behalf of the company.
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Additional Information

The role is primarily remote (80%) but may require occasional in-person attendance for key meetings or event setup on an ad-hoc basis. Candidates are ideally based in London.
