East London Connect is a registered charity (1175537) helping young people of ethnic heritage achieve their full educational and career potential. As part of our work, we help a variety of organisations in different sectors develop effective diversity strategies.

East London Connect is pioneering a new two-way mentoring scheme with the Foreign Office to help increase cultural understanding and diversity for both leaders within the Foreign Office and underrepresented groups of ethnic heritage. We will match senior members of the UK Foreign Office and ten specially selected university students of Afro-Caribbean heritage.

  • Duration: Initially 3 months
  • Proposal Start: December 2020
  • Frequency: Twice a month (once at Foreign Office, once with the mentoring team at East London Connect)
