HM PHOTOGRAPHY is a London-based creative studio specialising in commercial photography, interactive images, video production, web development services and studio hire. We specialise in fashion and product photography for eCommerce and advertising. We have a Student Placement vacancy for a Photography Studio & Marketing Assistant with experience in studio/venue space hire and the commercial photography/creative industry.
Responsibilities
- Telephone or meeting consultations with prospective and existing clients.
- Upsell services and conduct rate negotiations with prospective and existing clients.
- Update pre‑shoot or requirements form with client details and specifications.
- Set up and take down of studio/lighting setup.
- General studio upkeep and tidy up.
- Ad‑hoc tasks around our studios and location spaces.
- Email and phone enquiries screening and delegation.
- Assist with studio hire and event space bookings.
- Assist on photographic shoots.
- Reconcile payments and confirm invoice payments with senior management.
- Social media management.
- Create and send client quotes/proposals and invoices.
Other Duties
- Collaborate with the creative director to produce marketing material including print, web and video content.
- Assist with sales reports and accounts preparation.
- Attend trade shows and networking events.
- Content writing (blog, web content and business literature).
- Assist with operations and business management tasks.
Job Requirements
- Experience in photography.
- Some work experience in a sales and customer service role.
- Some experience working for studio hire or space hire.
- Passion for providing the highest level of customer service to new and existing clients.
- Detail‑oriented, diligent and very well organised.
- Comfortable working with numbers.
- Professional demeanour with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload, multi‑task using effective time‑management skills.
- Comfortable using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to change in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to meet deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and work calmly under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts on weekends and evenings as required to oversee bookings.
