We're organizing Britain's first democracy festival, DemocraFest, which aims to make young people more politically engaged. The festival will build a forum for political debate outside of Westminster and make politics fun for a younger audience by focusing on key issues affecting young people in a relaxed festival-style atmosphere with music and local food.
DemocraFest aims to achieve three things:
- Make 18 to 35-year-olds more socially and politically engaged.
- Engage with views across the spectrum, especially if you don't agree with them.
- Show that debating and politics can be fun.
Responsibilities – TikTok & Instagram:
- Being organised and proactive in creating content ideas and content calendars for Instagram and TikTok.
- Creating enough content for 12 posts on TikTok per week and 6 on Instagram.
- Featuring in content for Instagram and TikTok.
- Editing and posting content for Instagram and TikTok while being aware of the best times of day to post for maximum engagement.
- Responding to DMs and comments on our TikTok and Instagram channels.
- Proactively monitoring social media analytics on TikTok and Instagram to identify viable ideas and strategies.
- Researching and reaching out to political influencers on TikTok and Instagram to form collaborations.
Responsibilities – X & LinkedIn:
- Posting on X three times per day with content that fits with our mission.
- Reacting to posts on X from accounts with which we would like closer relationships.
- Creating an online community on X.
- Researching and reaching out to political influencers on X to form collaborations.
- Proactively monitoring social media analytics on X to identify viable ideas and strategies.
- Writing press briefings on DemocraFest.
- Researching relevant media outlets for press coverage.
- Managing press coverage of the event and liaising with journalists.
- Researching small publications and media outlets for collaboration.
- Emailing potential speakers and following up with those who haven't responded.

Working Conditions:
You would have the opportunity to work with us in our office in central London. The hours are flexible and there is potential for hybrid or remote work.
