We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Marketing Specialist to join our team in London.
Location: Remote + occasional face‐to‐face (London); Hours: Flexible / no set hours — around academic schedule; Type: Unpaid placement strictly for students undertaking a course‐required internship with a UK‐based further or higher education provider.
About Us: The African Language School delivers online and in‐person language and cultural programmes focused on African languages. We are growing our UK student base and looking for a motivated intern to support our marketing and student‐recruitment activity.
Role Summary: You will support the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing activities that drive brand visibility and enquiries. This role includes both independent tasks and collaborative working with the founder.
Typical Tasks:
- Assisting with social media planning & content creation
- Supporting email campaigns and student outreach
- Track outreach responses and maintain CRM spreadsheet
- Basic market / competitor research
- Drafting short‐form copy (posts, captions, landing pages)
- Supporting event promotion and community engagement
- Document processes and templates for repeat use
- Help plan open days / taster sessions
Requirements (For Legal Compliance):
- Must be currently enrolled in a UK‐based further or higher education course (e.g., college / HNC / HND / undergraduate / postgraduate) where an internship/placement is part of your study requirements
- Studying Marketing, Business, Communications or related subject
- Fast learner with proven initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong written English and digital fluency
- Able to join meetings in London occasionally (preferred, not essential)
